For donors

Every story has a middle. That's where you come in.

A young person's plans don't fall apart in a day, and they don't come back together in one either. Your gift pays for the people and time it takes to find, match and win grants and scholarships for Michigan families who could never do it alone.

together

A story you can be part of

One young person. Four chapters. You make the middle possible.

Chapter 1

A hard season hits

Divorce, illness or a lost job at home. Plans for school or training suddenly look out of reach, and nobody has the time or energy to go looking for help.

Chapter 2 Your gift

Someone steps in

Our team listens, searches, matches and applies for the grants and scholarships a family could never find alone. This is the chapter your gift pays for.

Chapter 3

A door opens

An award comes through, and the plan is back within reach. The young person gets to be a young person again.

Chapter 4

They continue forward

Summer camp, college, a certificate, a better job. A hard season at home becomes a chapter, not the whole story.

Chapter two doesn't happen on its own. You make the middle of this story possible.

What your gift pays for

The people and the time it takes.

Grants and scholarships don't cost families anything. Finding them does: hours of searching, careful matching, and walking a family through every form and deadline. That is what your gift funds.

We don't publish donation tiers or "a gift of X provides Y" claims, because the honest answer is that every award takes a different amount of work. Your gift goes toward the work.

Searching

Hours spent finding the awards that fit a specific young person: many of them small, local and easy to miss.

Matching and planning

A real conversation with each family and a plan built around their young person's goals.

Applying and following through

Guided applications, deadline tracking, and a team that stays with the family until decisions come in.

Help along the way

Personalized tutoring, online certification courses and job training when a young person's plan needs them.

Employer matching

Many employers match charitable gifts made by their employees. Ask your employer whether they offer a matching program, and we'll provide whatever paperwork they need.

Questions first?

Thinking about a larger gift, or want to talk before you give? We'd be glad to. Reach Linda through the contact page and we'll set up a call.

Before you give

Is my gift tax-deductible?

[Confirm: tax-exempt status / EIN. Until this is confirmed, we do not state that gifts are tax-deductible.]

We'll post our tax-exempt status, EIN and governance details on our financials and governance page as soon as they are confirmed. In the meantime, please check with a tax professional about the deductibility of your gift. Nothing on this site is legal, financial or tax advice.

Donor questions

Where does my gift go?

Toward the work: the people and time it takes to find, match and win grants and scholarships for Michigan young people, plus the tutoring, courses and job training that support their plans. We don't publish dollar tiers because every award takes a different amount of work.

Can I give monthly?

We'd love that. Monthly gifts let us plan ahead for the families coming to us. On our giving page you can choose a one-time or a monthly gift, and you can change or cancel a monthly gift at any time.

Can I direct my gift to a specific young person?

Gifts support Continue Forward's work for all the families we serve, rather than a single young person. That keeps things fair and lets us step in wherever the need is greatest. [Confirm: policy on directed gifts] If you have a specific idea in mind, talk to us.

Be the middle of someone's story.
