How we work

Three steps. One team. A real plan.

Most families don't know where to look. Many grants and scholarships are small, local and easy to miss. We find the ones that fit your young person, build a plan with you, and help with every form and deadline along the way.

The three steps

From a short form to a finished application.

You bring the story. We bring the searching, the matching and the paperwork.

Step one

Easy form

Tell us about your current situation, your young person's hopes, and the specific challenges you're facing right now. It's a short form with plain questions. No essays, no documents to upload yet. If you're 18 or older, you can fill it out for yourself.

What you'll need
  • A few minutes and a quiet moment
  • Your contact details
  • A sentence or two about what's going on at home
  • What your young person wants to do next
How long

Most families finish the form in about ten minutes. Once it arrives, someone from our team reaches out to set a time that works for you.

Step two

Consultation & planning

We meet with you and your young person, by phone or video, and listen. Then we build a personalized plan together: the goals that matter most, the kinds of awards that fit, and what we'll go after first. You'll leave the conversation knowing exactly what happens next.

What you'll need
  • Your young person, if they're old enough to join
  • Any school, program or training information you already have
  • Honest answers. The more we understand, the better the matches.
How long

One conversation, sometimes two. We'll set a time that works for you, and we'll follow up in writing so nothing gets lost.

Step three

Guided grant & scholarship process

This is the part most families could never do alone. We search for the grants and scholarships that match your plan, check eligibility, and walk you through each application step by step, from the first question to a strong, complete submission. We keep track of deadlines so you don't have to.

What you'll need
  • Documents an application asks for, which we'll list for you in advance
  • A little time together on each application
  • Patience. Awards are decided by the programs, on their own schedules.
How long

It depends on the awards we're pursuing and their deadlines. We'll tell you what to expect for each one, and we stay with you until decisions come in.

One place for every question

Our centralized process center keeps all of your applications, programs, grant and scholarship questions in one place. You always know where things stand, and you always know who to ask.

What we do along the way

Help that goes beyond the application.

Finding an award is the goal. These are the supports we bring in when a young person's plan needs them.

Personalized tutoring

One-on-one help with the subjects that are slipping, so a hard year at home doesn't become a hard year at school.

Online certification courses

Guidance toward courses that end in a credential, and the awards that can cover them.

Job training programs

Programs that lead to real, steady work, for young adults who need a better job sooner rather than later.

Grant & scholarship guidance

The heart of what we do: searching, matching, and walking families through each application.

Where it can lead

Personal goals and professional ones.

The young people we help are at every stage. So are the awards.

Camp & enrichment

Summer camp, music, sports, STEM and the programs that give a child something to look forward to.

Children

College

Scholarships and grants that keep a degree within reach when a family's finances change overnight.

Teens & young adults

Trade & certificate programs

Skilled trades, apprenticeships and professional certificates that lead to a career.

Teens & young adults

Job training

Training that leads to a better job, for young adults supporting themselves or a family of their own.

What we ask of families

We do the heavy lifting. We ask for three things in return.

One

Be honest on the form

The real situation, even when it's hard to write down. Awards are matched on details, and the right details lead to the right matches.

Two

Meet the team

One conversation, with your young person if they're old enough. It's where the plan comes from, and it's how we get to know you.

Three

Keep deadlines together

We track every date and tell you what's needed and when. When we ask for a document or a signature, a quick turnaround keeps the application alive.

No guarantees, real effort

What we can promise, and what we can't.

We can't promise an award. Grants and scholarships are decided by the programs that offer them, on their own criteria and their own timelines, and some years there is more competition than others. Anyone who guarantees a result is not being straight with you.

What we can promise is the work: a careful search, honest matches, complete and well-prepared applications, and a team that stays with your family from the first form to the final decision. If an application doesn't come through, we look for the next one.

Nothing on this site is legal, financial or tax advice. Questions about a specific program or award are always welcome. Contact us or read the FAQ.

Ready when you are.

Start with the easy form. We'll read it, reach out, and set a time that works for your family. Michigan only, for now.
